ANGUL(NEWS TIME PRO)NTPC Tacher Kaniha in association with Utkalmani Gobabandhu Blind Relief Trust, Kaniha distributed shawls, dhotis, sarees & towels among 785 blind & physically challenged persons today at Prajamandal Bhawan, Kaniha under its CSR initiative.Every year special challenged persons from all over the Odisha come to gather for the programme which is organised on every first Sunday of the year.
NTPC has been supporting this initiative for more than 25 years since the inception of the blind society in the year 1974.The clothes were distributed by Chief Guest of the occasion, Shri Santosh James, Chief General Manager, NTPC Kaniha.
CGM conveyed New Year Greetings to the assembled gathering. He stated that NTPC Kaniha is always forward in extending its support for the development of the community through its various CSR initiatives but this CSR initiative is very special and it is the first CSR activity to begin in the new year. He also emphasised that NTPC Kaniha would extend support for the welfare of the specially challenged in the future also.
