Utkal Day is celebrated by Tata Steel BSL.Tata Steel BSL has celebrated Utkal Day. On the occasion, the company’s Corporate Social Services Department organized a doll competition on Utkal Diwas among students of 7 high schools from different villages near its Narendrapur plant in Dhenkanal district.
More than 30 students from Khaliberna, Shivpur, Mangalpur, Kusupanga, Nuahata, Kurunti, Pipakote, etc. high schools took part in the event. The winners of the competition were honored at an event at the CSR department office premises at the plant site. All events were organized on the basis of Covid’s guidelines.
Kusupanga Paynayat Sarpanch Shri Pankaj was the Chief Guest and the Governor Award and retired teacher Shri Nirodh Tripathi was the keynote speaker and presented the awards to the children. Mr. Tripathi spoke on the relevance of Utkal Day, the Oriya language and culture. Mr. Divyahas Rai, Head, Tata Steel BSL CSR, advised the children to protect their language and culture and to promote it.
