On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, NTPC Talcher Kaniha, under its CSR initiative felicitated 90 COVID warriors for their dedication and untiring efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The specially organised event was held at the Recreation Centre to express gratitude to the COVID warriors namely, doctors, medical staff from Community Health Centre, Kaniha and local Police personnel who have been at the forefront in this battle with their dedication, teamwork and spirit.
Conveying his best wishes to the COVID Warriors, Chief Guest for the event, Shri Sudip Nag, CGM, NTPC Kaniha said, “The best way to honour the sacrifice of all our COVID warriors is to support and cooperate with them and do our bit in the war against COVID-19.” COVID warriors are the most vulnerable and yet committed to their duty and responsibility of safeguarding us in this pandemic, protecting our lives while risking their own.
Shri Nag felicitated the Corona Warriors and presented them with a token of appreciation, hand wash liquid, sanitiser bottle, face shield and masks to aid their day-to-day use. The felicitation was held in the august presence of Shri Navin Bagai GM (SSC C&M), Dr R.K. Mishra, CMO, Shri P.M.G.V Srinivas, AGM (RLI), Shri Charanjit Kumar, AGM (HR), Shri A.K Das, DGM (HR) and Shri Jakir Khan, DHM (HR). Smt. Deepika Devi Ray, IIC, NTPC Kaniha Police Station was the Guest of Honour for the occasion.
NTPC Talcher Kaniha has relentlessly supported the State Government by implementing health advisories and guidelines. Sanitation and disinfection of office premises and Township has been ensured from time-to-time. On previous occasions, the Station has honoured and expressed its solidarity to the Corona Warriors with silent prayer and Bande Utkal Janini.
