Hariyali Teej was celebrated by Tanvi Sangam ,NTPC Talcher Kaniha with great enthusiasm.Haryali Teej refers to the monsoon festival which is celebrated for arrival of clouds, rain and greenery.
On the occasion, General Secretary, Smt Sangamitra Das welcomed President, Smt Vani V and other committee members.Later Smt.Vani, President,Tanvi Sangam inaugurated the Teej Festival by lighting the lamps and conveyed good wishes to members.
The venue was decorated with flowers, decorative plant pots, flower-laden swing and rangoli to match the festive mood. Members celebrated the festival with dancing, singing, getting together, dressing up with henna-coloured hands and playing swings on Haryali Teej.A lively cultural program was presented by the members of Tanvi Sangam which was followed by surprise games. The main attraction of the evening was skit.
In Teej Queen Competition, Smt Soma Chakraborty was declared as the Teej Queen ,1st runners up went to Smt Sweta Ranganathan and 2nd runners up went to Smt Swarnamudra Senapati.Teej gifts were distributed to members to make the event special.
