Valedictory Session Of 61st Senior Police Officers’ Conference

In the Valedictory Ceremony of the 61st Senior Police Officers’ Conference, 2019, Sri Naveen Patnaik, Hon’ble Chief Minister attended the programme as Chief Guest and addressed the delegates.

CM Congratulated To odisha Cops For effective tackling of Left Wing Extremism, social awareness through #PAREE & smooth conduct of #HWC2018 :

Hon’ble CM commended DGP Dr. R.P.Sharma and his team for the outstanding performanceof Odisha Police during 2018 in maintenance of law and order, disaster management by ODRAF, countering the Left Wing Extremism, effectively and in preventing and detecting crime.Hon’ble CM in his speech also emphasised on the safe and secured environment to citizen, ensure inclusive growth of the people by providing transparent and pro-people governance, protection of Right of women, children, weaker and vulnerable section of the society. He appreciated the effort of Odisha Police for smooth management of Men’s Hockey World Cup-2018 held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar during November-December. Hon’ble CM said that police must be people friendly with attitude to serve people.Hon’ble CM congratulated the noble initiative taken by Odisha Police in conducting State Wide Social Awareness “Paree” campaign against child sexual abuse. He also expressed his satisfaction over the opening of counselling centres in 19 districts to deal with problems of women and children. He asked the SPs of other districts to open the same.

Best Performing District superintendents of police and commandant’s Were Awarded By CM :
Some of the best performing District Superintendents of Police and Commandants were awarded by Hon’ble CM for their outstanding performance. SP Malkangiri was awarded for best work in Anti Naxalite Operations and initiatives. SP Mayurbhanj was awarded for best performance in Prosecution. SP
Kandhamal was awarded for best performance in destruction of cannabis cultivation. SP Koraput was awarded for best performance in detection of NDPS
cases and seizure. SP Keonjhar was awarded for best performance in Road Safety. SP Sambalpur was awarded for best performance in CCTNS. SP Gajapati
was awarded for best performance in Citizen Service through IT. SP Koraput was awarded for best implementation of Model Police Station..OSAP 6th Battalion was awarded as best Battalions in over all performance.

At the outlet Dr. R.P. Sharma, DGP gave his keynote address and spoke in detail about the proceedings of the conference during last 3 days. He also lauded the support of Hon’ble CM for Police Modernization and infrastructural development of Odisha Police during the last two decades. DGP also spoke on the successful maintenance of law and order, effective
crime control mechanism, successful tackling of LWE situation, protecting of the dignity and modesty of women by ensuring their safety and security in his
speech. He also spoke on the establishment of Model Police Stations, e-office and counselling centres for women in 19 Districts.

After the valedictory ceremony, Sri Surendra Kumar, IAS, Chief Electoral
Officer, Odisha interacted with the officers for the smooth, free and fair conduct of General Election – 2019. After that, Sri Hitesh Trivedi, Sr. Scientist, SFSL,
Gandhinagar, Gujurat gave a presentation on the ‘Enhanced use Forensics’. Sri Susanta Ku. Nath, Director SFSL moderated the session.
