Laying the foundation stone By MCL CMD For Fast Mile Connectivity Project

MCL CMD Prabhat Kumar Sinha, chairman of MCL (Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited), visited Talcher Coal Fields on Sunday and visited various coal mines and inaugurated the Fast Mile Connectivity (FMC) project to be built at Kaniha mine at a cost of Rs 27.05 crore. The project is expected to transport 10 million tonnes of coal annually by May 2023. The construction was commissioned by Meccon India Ltd., while the siding will be used to transport coal to the railway siding. As a result, pollution can be prevented and coal can be transported at a faster rate, the MCL said. Mr Sinha said the project was aimed at producing 126 million tonnes of coal per year free of pollution at various mines in the MLCL at a cost of about Rs 3,600 crore. MCL Director (Personnel) Keshab Rao, Technical Director OP Singh, Baban Singh and all the General Managers, Senior Officials and Workers’ Representatives of Talcher Coal Fields were present during the President’s visit.
