The 2nd National Electrical Safety Week (NESW) campaign 2021 kicked off at TSTPS Kaniha on 26.06.2021 with Flag hoisting at 0845hrs by Sh.Sudip Nag, Executive Director, Talcher Kaniha. Sh.Shivam Sivastava, GM (O&M), Sh.P.Siva Ramakrishna, GM (Operation), Sh.H.N.Chakraborty , GM (Maintenance), Sh.R.N.Das, GM (Projects), Sh.Sarit Maheshwari, GM (Ash Dyke & Ash Utilization) were also present on the occasion along with Sh.Brajaraj Rath, AGM (EMD) & Safety Department along with their team members.
Thereafter, Safety Pledge was administered online by Sh.Sudip Nag, Executive Director (Talcher Kaniha) through MS Teams. In his online, speech, Sh.Sudip Nag, talked about the Electrical Safety initiatives being taken up by Talcher Kaniha like usage of strict PTW system, use of arc flash suits and various training programs being undertaken. The NESW campaign and TSTPS Kaniha safety week’s programs were also addressed.
Further, in his speech, Sh.Sudip Nag, Executive Director, Talcher Kaniha, reiterated that, TSTPS Kaniha should take up Arc Flash Hazard Analysis of all switchgears, Improvise Safety Park with dummy HT breakers for training purposes, bring improvements in ventilations and exits of switchgears as per code, undertake Electrical Audits and stressed on bringing improvement in near miss reporting in electrical systems.
In the end, Sh.Sudip Nag, Executive Director, Talcher Kaniha) further restated that with continuous improvements and strong team commitment by one and all, a very safe working environment will continue to be ensured in the future also.
