Following the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call to launch the Jan Andolan Campaign on COVID-19, NTPC Talcher Kaniha took fervent measures to execute “Unlock with precautions”. Employees of NTPC Talcher Kaniha joined hands in support of the Campaign emphasized on promoting appropriate COVID-19 behaviour with a pledge taking ceremony on Oct 9, 2020. A special HOD meeting was organized where Chief General Manager, Shri Sudip Nag led the virtual pledge via MS Teams by administering the oath to the employees of the Station in the presence of all GMs, HODs and senior officials.
In addition, to enhance awareness and effectively implement COVID-19 guidelines, the Station distributed Leaflets highlighting necessary Do’s/Don’ts during the quarantine period for information of all stakeholders. The bilingual leaflets in Odia and English were distributed among Township market shop vendors, Post Office, and local vegetable vendors in Kaniha on October 10, 2020.
Various banners on following the three golden principles of “wear mask, follow social distancing and implement hand-hygiene” have been displayed on the LED screens and boards across the Plant for greater awareness of the public. NTPC Kaniha has planned many initiatives to effectively implement COVID protocols among employees and associates
