NTPC KANIHA CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY

To commemorate International Women’s Day, a women employee’s interaction with CGM was held at NTPC Talcher Kaniha on March 13, 2020. Chief Guest for the occasion, Shri Sudip Nag CGM along with Shri N.S Rao, GM (O&M), other GMs, officials graced the gathering and conveyed their best wishes to all women employees of the Station. 

The interaction commenced with welcoming the guests with floral bouquets, followed by a presentation by Smt Aparajita Mishra, Sr. Specialist (Pathology) to sensitize employees on the Coronavirus. Congratulating all employees on Women’s Day, she mentioned the significance of self-love and said, “The girl inside you should always stay alive.”

With a well elaborate presentation, Smt. Mishra enumerated various preventive measures like frequent washes of hands and maintaining proper hygiene to prevent the spread of this virus. She also busted several myths associated with Coronavirus and emphasized on the importance of personal hygiene in our lives.

To celebrate the spirit of women employees at NTPC Kaniha, a cake cutting ceremony was also held. Addressing a packed conference hall, Shri Nag lauded the employees for their overwhelming participation and high energy level. “The diversity and strength we derive from nature is reflected in the spirit of a woman,” he said. To mark the celebrations, Shri Nag highlighted various women achievers at international and national levels as a source of inspiration for all. The event ended with fun-filled quizzes and games which were thoroughly enjoyed by all employees.
