Workshop on “Efficient Boiler Operation and Maintenance”

National Productivity Council has organized a day long Regional Workshop on “Efficient Boiler Operation and Maintenance” at Tata Steel BSL plant at Naredrapur in Dhenkanal which was sponsored by Central Boiler Board (CBB), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Santhosh Das, Engineer In Chief-Cum-Principal Chief Electrical Inspector and State Designated Agency Odisha, Govt. of Odisha. Shri Ambika Panda, General Manager (CPP), NALCO, Shri Harvinder Singh Deepak, Chief, Shared Services, Tata Steel BSL and MD, Bhushan Energy Limited and Shri G. Saravanan, Regional Director, NPC were the guests of the workshop.
Technical Sessions were conducted on various aspects of Efficient Boiler Operation, Maintenance, and Performance Evaluation and Monitoring by different industry experts such as Shri C R Sahu, AGM (Mech), NALCO, Shri Avijit Nayak, Dy. Director, NPC, Shri Prabandh Samantaray, Manager, JSPL, Shri Sekhar Singi, Sr. Manager (Commission) and Shri Naresh K. Jindal, Manager (Boiler after Sales) , M/s ISJEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. Noida, etc.

Program was attended by 80 participants from all major industries of Odisha like, Tata Steel BSL, TATA Steel Ltd., Bhusan Steel Ltd, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., NALCO, IFFCO, VISA steel, Arti Steel, IMFA, Nabavarat Ventures Ltd. FALCON Industries etc. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shri K C Das, Head, Environment, Tata Steel BSL.
