As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence, the Ministry of Power in association with the State Government is all set to organize the ‘Bijli Mahotsav’ in 30 districts of Odisha in the last week of July.
The week-long nationwide program will be celebrated all over the country under the umbrella of Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @2047. The Bijli Mahotsav is a platform to celebrate the collaboration between the Central and the State governments, to highlight the key achievements of the power sector.
The aim of the event is to educate and sensitize the general public on the importance of power and highlight the progress in the field of electricity since independence and the future course for energy security in the country, through screening of films, nukkad nataks and cultural performances.
With the cooperation and guidance of the government and the district administration, NTPC has made grand preparations for jointly organizing the program in 19 districts to make the event a success. Two locations in each district have been finalized to carry out the celebrations.
